DESIGNER

I was born into the newspaper industry and developed a remarkable work ethic. One which probably contributed to the design of my first ad in grade 4. Along the way I studied Visual Communications in Canada and entered the work-force as a bright eyed, college graduate. You can now find me at Tightrope Media Systems. My full time gig as graphic artist allows me to wear many hats. Print, web, packaging design, art director and so much more. We have several high profile clients including the Port Authority of NY & NJ who display our award winning graphics (on 100’s of monitors) to help guide international and domestic passengers at New York’s JFK airport.  Living in Hollywood has allowed me to work as a freelance artist for the entertainment industry. My work here includes web design for a Beverly Hills based talent manager and being the principal photographer for an indie rock band. My freelance projects allow me to branch out from my day to day work and really push myself creatively.   I’m fortunate to be working in a field that I love, but it didn’t happen overnight and it didn’t happen without a lot of hard work. I’m looking forward to the future, growing as an artist and taking on new, challenging projects. Get in touch!

PHOTOGRAPHER

I was recently selected to participate in the RAWartist “Generation” show in Hollywood, California. RAW:natural born artists is an independent arts organization, for artists, by artists. They’re made up of creative individuals across the nation that provide independent artists with the tools, resources and exposure needed to inspire and cultivate creativity. Watch my RAW interview below:

I first picked up a camera in grade 12 and shot a series of photos with the great Saskatchewan landscape as my backdrop. I later picked up a few photography classes in college, landed a job with a photographer, and developed an eye for composition and a respect for the frame that I use to this day. So now, whether I am operating a film, video or still camera, I have what it takes to get that perfect shot, even if it means standing on my head to get it.

FILMMAKER

While working at a photography studio, I realized I wanted the still images to come to life. I decided to enroll in the Vancouver Film School, and upon graduating, moved to the United States. As of late, I have a feature-length documentary under my belt and continue to keep busy on set as art director, production photographer, and marketing designer.
